As many of you may know, the lunar calendar year is coming to an end and Rosh HaShana, or the Jewish new year is here.
Being Jewish, we get to make new years resolutions twice a year…score!!! Every Jewish man and woman always swears off eating for a whole 3 days and then they go back to eating knishes and danishes.
I think it’s time we all stick to our new years resolutions and start eating clean and taking care of our bodies, since it’s the only one we got! Yes, it’s easier said then done, but I promise once you start you will feel 100 times better about yourself and about the way you live your life. For those of you who have been following our blogs, I am not saying that kosher beef jerky is the answer, but it will sure as hell help the fight! At the end of the day it is a fight, you have to continuously fight with yourself to eat clean and train mean…trust me it’s not easy!
From the moment I wake up I have to fight the urge not to stuff unhealthy food down my throat. When I lose the fight and eat something unhealthy, I regret it just fast as I put in my mouth and that’s the worst part! I have been fighting my weight all my life and trust me when I say, it’s not worth it. The momentary pleasure is not worth the long term damage that’s being done to your body. Some don’t realize, but the weight gain effects your everyday lifestyle. Even the up and down of weight loss and gain does damage to your back and knees. After a while your body will tell that its’ had enough of the punishment and it will legit give up on you. Instead of a candy our that bag of chips, switch it up for some of our kosher beef jerky.
Our kosher beef jerky will satiate that mid day snack you are craving and you will burn calories eating it! You could even have out Teriyaki or Orange flavor if you have a sweet tooth. Most of us these days are too busy to eat lunch and lunch is a very important meal. When you start skipping meals, that’s when unhealthy snacking starts and before you know it you’ve eaten a snickers bar and half a bag of chips! If you would have had a bag of our delicious kosher beef jerky in your desk drawer this disaster would have been averted.
I am not saying that all the foods that we all love to eat have to be completely cut out of our lives, just have them on special occasions. Trust me when I say that when you start taking care of your body, you wont want to eat anything unhealthy. We all have hectic lives for one reason or another and at the end of the day stick to a new years resolution is hard work, G-d knows we make more than one! The trick is to make one resolution and stick to it…firmly. I guarantee that is that resolution is to be healthy, everything else in life will fall into place. When you feel better about yourself life is a little easier, things don’t seem like such a big deal anymore!
Have a happy, healthy & sweet New Year!!
