This topic has been argued many times in the past, I mean a $.99 burger…come on, how good can it possibly be? Forget about how good it could be and focus on how good can it be for YOU! With the craze being fitness and health these days, I’m surprised that people still frequent places like this. Me being kosher solves that problem, but I don’t understand how people keep going back to places like McDonald’s. The only time I could see why people would eat that kind of fast food, would be after partying. You need food like that to sop up all the alcohol, so you don’t feel like dying the next day, but that’s the only reason. Anyone I know always regrets eating food like that right after they’ve eaten it.
Granted eating something healthier is more likely going to cost more, but its your body and you should take care of it. I’m not telling you to all of a sudden become kosher, but eating McDonald’s is not the way to go. Most people already know that kosher meat is a better choice than fast food. For a cow to be deemed kosher, it is passed to a rigorous test and if there more than two abrasions on any of its intestines it is automatically sold to non kosher slaughterhouse. Just imagine what a non kosher cow must look like on the inside. Granted the public are not eating the intestines, but how good could the meat be if the intestines are garbage.
One thing that has always turned my stomach was the McRib, it looks like something that made in some kind of a mold and spat out onto a sheet. From what I’m told, the BigMac doesn’t even taste like beef, so why even bother putting it in your body! Granted, McDonald’s has started serving salads of some sort, but who goes to there for a salad? I can’t imagine that people would wait in a drive-thru for a McDonald’s salad.
In this day age, we have become lazy! As much as the internet has made our lives easier it has also made us lazier then we already were. With every company offering free shipping and online shopping incentives, we don’t even go to the mall anymore. Going to mall was more than just for shopping, it was an outing, something to do to get out of the house. While most of us used to make a day of it, it always ended up with going to grab a bite to eat, more likely than not at a sit down restaurant, not fast food. Most people who eat fast food, finish the food before they even get home. You don’t even realize what you did until you were done!
The bottom line is people need to eat healthier and take care of their bodies more. Obesity has become an epidemic and most people realize they have problem when it’s already too late. So put down that greasy mess of a burger and pick up some weights do something proactive to change your life, you will thank me later!
Here’s to a healthier you and healthier future!
